We’re Chris + Allie from The Reason, a husband and wife photography team based in the dirty south – a kudzu-covered land where fried chicken is served with waffles, the real thing is the only thing, and sweet tea is served at every wedding. We live in the Atlanta suburbs, love the Oranje (Dutch national soccer team), and are parents to the two greatest kids, Hank and Charlie.

Take time to explore the site. We’re free, honest and friendly, and those traits are reflected in the weddings we shoot. Beauty lies in the imperfect and unexpected, so we shoot with the flow of the day, and not against it. Our best work always comes when a couple gives us the freedom and trust to do what we do best. Although sometimes unavoidable, strict timelines and shot lists can stifle the creative process.

Style, medium, equipment and editing slowly evolve with every wedding; make sure to look at the latest blog entries or features to see how we are currently capturing and interpeting the wedding day. Allie shoots digital, and Chris is a hybrid (film + digital) going on film-only shooter. It’s amazing how both mediums have their unique storytelling quirks that can be used to better tell a complete wedding day story.
