We could write another paragraph on how much we love Neverland, but we’ll spare you. If you keep up with our blog, you already know it’s one of our favorite venues around! Suzy and the gang make it such a pleasure to shoot there. And for this wedding, our couple Lauren + Adam made it that much more of a pleasure. We absolutely LOVE happy brides – nothing can get in their way! 
And thanks again to our intern, Amelia, for helping us out on Allie’s last wedding before the baby comes!

we met amy + kurt at janna + adam’s beautiful wedding. kurt is janna’s brother. so, we were familiar with the amazing property where we started out. charlotte + olivia – kurt’s daughters – joined us for the first few shots!
charlotte + olivia are totally adorable!
next, we went with kurt + amy over to emory university to get some shots of them alone.
we love how goofy they are together!
amy + kurt: thanks for letting us hang out with you guys and for braving the cold saturday morning! i’m sure you’re used to it. we can’t wait to visit tulsa for the wedding!

when we scheduled a meeting to meet janna and go over some wedding details, we found ourselves as guests at her parents’ house where the ceremony was to be held. we were immediately welcomed in as friends, given a tour of the (amazing) property, and treated to dinner out on the deck under the perfect summer sky. you never would have known that we were 5 minutes from one of the major highways in atlanta! it was such a perfect place for a wedding – huge backyard, a beautiful lake, and even dramatic lighting! but it wasn’t just the scenery we were in awe of, it was the family that we fell in love with. the vanderyts are truly amazing – AND they’re dutch! bonus! after attending the wedding, we found out we weren’t the only ones who felt the same way. we met adam the night before at the rehearsal dinner. we could tell right away why janna was head over heels for him.

it was such a beautiful night for a wedding!
and it was definitely a party!
last but not least, a look at the amazing vanderyt property. they had lots of candles floating out on the lake. see what i mean about the dramatic lighting? it was perfect.

we’ve been away from the computer for a while, but it’s nice to be back home! we have some new blog posts comin’ your way this week. first up is emily + adam! they got hitched last saturday, june 27th, in fairburn, georgia at first baptist church. it was HOT, but they had plenty of cold drinks and fans at the reception in an old barn with tents set up outside!

emily had the perfect number of bridesmaids – she had to use all of them to help her put on her dress!
emily had green shoes to match the bridesmaids dresses… and her eyes, which are absolutely gorgeous!
trying to cool down before the walk to adam. as soon as she saw adam when they opened the doors, her face went from nervous to happy in less than a second. she even gave him a little wave, which made him smile even bigger! so cute.
adam had a special song prepared for emily – he sang and played piano. how romantic is that??

everything at the reception was amazing – the cupcake bridal cake, the glass bottles of coke, lemonade in mason jars with straws, and the live band!
