my (allie’s) parents had a group of friends before i was born – and while i was growing up – that called themselves the jet set. all of the kids were sort of born into this group, but it didn’t really bother any of us because we got to cook out every weekend together, go on vacations together, etc. karen’s family was in the jet set. it’s amazing to see how many of the kids have grown up, gotten married, had their own children, etc. it was such an honor to be able to shoot karen’s wedding as she married the love of her life. we used to lay for hours in bed when we spent the night together and talk about the guy we would marry. i think we both did pretty good. :)
here’s karen as she gets ready for the big day :

you were a gorgeous bride, karen!

the bridesmaids showed us how they dance :

and here’s gene looking rather handsome in his tux!

as we were taking photos of the groomsmen, we looked up at the windows and saw all the bridesmaids peeking out – how cute is that??

her sister and the bridesmaids keep karen occupied before she walks to the church :

a sweet father/daughter moment before he walks her down the aisle to gene :

to get this shot…

… chris and i had to ride in the back of a truck, haha. chris – daredevil that he is – jumped out in the middle of traffic to grab this shot.

a few shots of the newlyweds :

then it was time to party! i must say, the participation from the guys was awesome – it was a really entertaining reception!

and the “getaway.” they actually were having way too much fun at the reception that we staged the farewell and then went back in to party some more. :)
