We’re excited to share with everyone that Bonnie + Matt’s wedding was featured as a real wedding in the newest edition of The Knot North Carolina!
A great Charleston wedding blog has featured Bonnie + Matt’s wedding! Thanks to The Wedding Row for showing how awesome this wedding was to other Charleston brides.
Ready for a humongous blog post? Bonnie + Matt’s wedding was perfect in every way – the details, weather, and of course, the couple, made it such a great one. Their carefree and easygoing personalities are exactly what we hope for in a bride and groom. Don’t forget to look at the amazing details – then check out the photos below for the rest of the wedding day story!
Bonnie + Matt: You two are beyond adorable together. We hope you have an amazing start to your journey together in Charleston!
Before we show you how beautiful Bonnie + Matt’s wedding was, we want to show off some of the vendors we worked with that made the day so much fun! First off, a huge thank you to Meredith and Jacqueline from Sweetgrass Social. They were a pleasure to work with and made our job easy!
Next up – the venue, Old Wide Awake Plantation. We were told by some of the bridesmaids that Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe got married here! It’s everything you want in a venue that’s located in Charleston – an old plantation home, a ceremony spot down by the river, spanish moss, an old dirt road. We loved everything about it.
WildFlowers, Inc. did an AMAZING job with the bouquets made out of cotton! Bonnie told them that there couldn’t be too much cotton, and it was everywhere.
The delicious food was cooked by Gourmet Bay Catering. One of the most unique things we’ve ever seen at a wedding was a Grilled Cheese bar. It’s one of Bonnie + Matt’s favorite foods, so they wanted it at the wedding. How cool is that?
A few more sweet details from the wedding day:
Loved this puzzle piece guestbook!
Once again, a big thank you to all the vendors who made this wedding so beautiful!
this is our last post of 2010. what a great year it was! we started it off in tulsa during a snowstorm, and ended up in windy charleston. 34 weddings in all, and we loved every one! may we just say our brides + grooms are the best? ever. here’s katie + ben’s day after session to round it off. look out 2011, here we come!

we got to take a trip to charleston, south carolina with whitney + brian this past weekend. they chose to do their engagement session in charleston because it’s where they got engaged. we absolutely love that place. such a cute town and so many awesome places to shoot.
we drove down there on saturday and ended up shooting that evening since the forecast was rain on sunday. the rest of the weekend we slept, ate, slept, ate, and slept some more… in that order.
they took us to some awesome restaurants!
whitney + brian: we had such a great weekend with you two! thanks for thinking out of the box and arranging this.

it was so awesome to get out of atlanta and travel to charleston for heather + tim’s wedding. it’s such an awesome place! unfortunately, it was a busy weekend for us and we were only there for one night. we got in on friday (late), woke up early saturday to do some exploring (about 30 minutes worth downtown), and then jumped in the car right after the wedding to head back to atlanta for another wedding on sunday! we’ll definitely be heading back to charleston to do some more exploring though.
the colors heather chose for the wedding was awesome. here’s some detail shots. the guestbook that’s shown a few photos down was designed by heather with their engagement photos. instead of having the guests simply sign their names, she asked a question on each page that they had to answer – very cool!

isn’t that the cutest little girl above? she was making these faces for me all night.

the guys…

the girls were really personable and cute

heather + tim decided to see each other before the ceremony, so we stole them away from all the craziness and went down to a dock near the water.

yes, her eyes really are that blue.

beautiful!

cutest little chapel ever. the best part was that the reception site was RIGHT next door. everything in one place = so perfect.

mr + mrs!

heather + tim: congrats! thank you so much for bringing us to charleston to shoot your precious wedding (and for the amazing gift basket with charleston goodies we got in the mail)! we had so much fun. we’ll be visiting again soon!
