It’s clear in the photos that Emily + Brince love to make each other laugh! They share our love for pizza, so we ate at Mellow Mushroom before. Brince has a love for history and led us to an amazing location find a few photos below! We’re so excited about their farm wedding in September!

we met amy + kurt at janna + adam’s beautiful wedding. kurt is janna’s brother. so, we were familiar with the amazing property where we started out. charlotte + olivia – kurt’s daughters – joined us for the first few shots!

next, we went with kurt + amy over to emory university to get some shots of them alone.

meet cate and brandon. i got to pick the color of the tie. he had a green and blue one, but hopefully i did good by picking the one that matched cate’s dress. i think it looks awesome. sorry to all my theatre friends for interrupting your smoking session and kicking you out of the court yard so i can get these pics. it was worth your sacrifice.

brandon was in town interviewing for a job with a rail road company, which i found out afterwards. kind of cool we took a few train related photos.

at the beginning of the session they wouldn’t tell about this surprise prop they had prepared. they were afraid i wouldn’t like it. they were right. i loved it.
a long time ago, i worked on a very bad film called “fate.” the producer of the movie owns a carnival company, and i got his permission to shoot some of our engagement session where his carnival is currently parked.
it simply was a dream to shoot.
okay. i took like a million photos on the merry-go-round. i hope cate and brandon had fun, because this thing was spinning around at close to light speed. here are a few of the shots that turned out.
brandon did really good with the ring. that thing sparkled even close to the end of sunset. the ride on the bottom right sadly couldn’t be enjoyed by them as the fine print said “you must be this tall….. or shorter to ride this ride.”
seeing that they got the all access-all rides pass, we took a few more on some of the other rides. i felt kind of bad, as i got motion sickness just watching them on the himalaya ride.

spoiler alert… cate just got cotton candy for cute photos. she really doesn’t like it too much. i do… and i did.

ashley + chris were two most fun people to shoot ever. we went over to little five points and had a blast. hold on folks cause here we go… meet the love birds.

i told them i drew that line just for them… they admired it for like 5 seconds intently.
we stumbled onto an amazing vine wall, that i’m sure allie and i will be using in the future… many times… it’s amazing… i need to stop with the “…”

there were so many great spots. this alley is amazing.

we found this fake chalk outline (i hope) where someone was killed. chris asked if he could lay in it. i said yes, obviously.
they had such great personalities even the mannequins joined in.
chris had this pillow made for ashley. it reads “olive you,” and it’s a giant plush olive. respect dude. respect.
i said “singing in the rain.” they handed this in as their homework. i gave them an “a.”
taking in the atlanta dusk, the light was beautiful for photos.
i had some markers and poster board left in my car from our christmas card sessions, so i made them write one thing they’d promise to do for each other when they are married.
then they turned the markers on themselves.

charlotte + nathan are engaged! they’re getting married in april of 2010 and we’re excited we get to shoot their big day. they guaranteed that we would be attending a party, so we’re ready to get it started!

we met ashley + ryan in macon at mercer university last weekend for their engagement session. they are both seniors. it’s such a beautiful campus and it was so much fun hanging out with these two.

ashley + ryan had the whole day planned out. as a freshman at mercer you get to go up to the bell tower. ashley got access to the key so we had the priviledge of going up there as well! there were names written all over the walls on the way up dating as far back as the 1920s. so cool!
at the very top… ryan keeps ashley safe when ashley was a freshman she wrote what you see below. they brought a sharpie with them this time and wrote a new message. we’re saving that for later.

we were so excited when laura contacted us to do wedding photos because her and michael wanted a “club” type feel to them. we agreed to shoot at the new w hotel in midtown where they’re getting married in february. we started outside around midtown and piedmont park first :
laura was in theatre for a while and had the most perfect expressions! michael followed right along and they were so much fun to work with!
i loved that michael brought the hat – it added so much more personality!

next stop was inside the w hotel. it’s one of the coolest hotels we’ve been to in atl. there’s so many little hiding places to shoot in.
ending with one of our favorites. their chemistry with each other and the camera is to die for. this was in one of the elevators.

this engagement session was so sweet to us. nicole was the first model we ever shot, and now we get to shoot her wedding! we knew she was a beautiful person – inside and out – but she might have some competition now that we’ve met dustin, leia, and seth!
seth is 4 years old… and an absolute cutie pie!
