Farrar + Matt are such a sweet couple. The wedding, held at Farrar’s family’s lake property, was a perfectly sweet and serene day as well.
Farrar + Matt had asked to do some pool shots after all the formal photos, so we took it underwater as well! The photos are awesome, but wait til you see the video!

we aren’t doing many portrait sessions because we’re up to our knees with weddings and engagements. but when it’s the family of one of our brides, we love the chance to get to know them.
chrissy (sister of kelly – remember her fun engagement session?) is a dancer and just plain awesome. she’s a little scared of bees… but braved it out for us in some gorgeous locations!
we had to include a photo of mom as well. she told us she wasn’t photogenic… please! we love this family!

we met amy + kurt at janna + adam’s beautiful wedding. kurt is janna’s brother. so, we were familiar with the amazing property where we started out. charlotte + olivia – kurt’s daughters – joined us for the first few shots!

next, we went with kurt + amy over to emory university to get some shots of them alone.

the hammons family happens to be friends with the shell family (below), and i shot their session the same night. it was such a pleasure to work with this family. not only are they all so photogenic, but they were willing to try anything and wanted something different – which we love!

Last Friday I went up to Rome for a quick shoot with the Shell family. They’re such a beautiful family (with another addition on the way!) and little Maddie has quite the personality!
Maddie kept insisting we take a group kiss shot – I think it turned out perfectly. Great idea!

i (allie) have known misty since i was little, so it was a pleasure to get in touch with her again and meet her family… her SO very cute family, might i add! they live in cocoa beach and drove up to where we were vacationing last week to do the session. we were so excited to be able to shoot on the beach, but ended up finding some other perfect locations as well!

everyone, meet taylor! she’s turning 2 this year. when her mom, ashley, contacted me about taking photos she told me taylor might be a little shy of the camera. so before they came to meet us, ashley decided to make a big deal about it – take a bath, put on “makeup,” and talk it up! something must have worked, because she was all about some time in front of the camera!

we like to tell clients that we capture personalities instead of just posing them and taking a photo. when we received the following message from ashley, we felt like our brand was following through with exactly how we wanted it to be perceived :
“I LOVE the pics Allie!! You and Chris are so blessed with such an amazing talent!! I can’t tell you how happy I am with everything! Now the hard part – deciding what I want, in what sizes. Your pictures make me want to cry!!! I am beyond pleased – I’m beyond thrilled! You captured Taylor’s little personality in all the pics. Love them! When I let her look at her pics on the computer she kept asking “where’s allie and chris?” !!! ”

i’ve known mitch and jennifer a long time. mitch was my youth pastor at church when i was in high school. i remember riding back from youth camp in the church van while mitch and jennifer were sitting in the front as me and my friends prepared them for children – “mom, are we there yet?” “dad, i have to go to the bathroom.” “mom? mom?” “dad, dad.” and every once in a while, someone would just scream at the top of their lungs. i’m sure we probably did it longer than we should have.
that was probably ten years ago. and now… they have a beautiful family of their own!
i’m so glad we prepared them so many years ago… they’re amazing parents now!

on sunday I went out to take photos of the patch family. i’ve known brandon since, well, probably since i’ve been born. his sister, lindsay {anyone need a hairdresser, because she’s awesome!} and i have been friends since pre-school! emily is an amazing person and little brantley here is one of the happiest babies i have ever met! he didn’t fuss one time. mad props to his aunt and uncle who were on hand to make him laugh {and make my job easier}! i wish i could take them with me to all my family/kid shoots! :)
