We warned you – this is our longest blog post ever. But it’s well worth the scrolling! Loved everything about this wedding, especially the couple. Melanie + Cale got married on her family farm in Odum, GA along the river. Take a look at their video and then start scrolling! (If you need some background music while looking at the photos, click here after you watch the video and enjoy! We’ve always wanted a couple to play this at a wedding – Melanie + Cale had the guitar player learn it as they were walking out of the ceremony. Made our day!)

For the rehearsal dinner, there was a low country boil – yum!
Melanie’s dress was stunning – her mom crocheted it and her sister made the belt! Unbelievable – talk about one of a kind.
Melanie’s something blue was her granddad’s old work patch (he drove a truck for PBR) – her and her mom surprised her grandma with this cute detail under her dress.
The girls looked like they were straight out of an Anthropologie ad – we wanted to showcase each of them since Melanie let them show of their own unique styles.
The guys were chilling with some skeet shooting at Cale’s place before getting ready.
The ceremony was by the river on an 80+ degree day. We won’t lie… there were bugs. At least they didn’t bite!
How great is this setup?
Yes, the dinner was breakfast!
I met Felicia through a group here in Atlanta called Cocktails and Cameras. We were in the same group at a shoot out and she was amazing to photograph – such a natural in front of the camera (which isn’t usually true for photographers!). So we were excited when they contacted us to do an engagement session. Get ready for some hot photos… in every sense of the word.
Felicia + Jeff: It was fun hanging out – have fun with the rest of the wedding planning!

it was so awesome to get out of atlanta and travel to charleston for heather + tim’s wedding. it’s such an awesome place! unfortunately, it was a busy weekend for us and we were only there for one night. we got in on friday (late), woke up early saturday to do some exploring (about 30 minutes worth downtown), and then jumped in the car right after the wedding to head back to atlanta for another wedding on sunday! we’ll definitely be heading back to charleston to do some more exploring though.
the colors heather chose for the wedding was awesome. here’s some detail shots. the guestbook that’s shown a few photos down was designed by heather with their engagement photos. instead of having the guests simply sign their names, she asked a question on each page that they had to answer – very cool!

isn’t that the cutest little girl above? she was making these faces for me all night.

the guys…

the girls were really personable and cute

heather + tim decided to see each other before the ceremony, so we stole them away from all the craziness and went down to a dock near the water.

yes, her eyes really are that blue.

beautiful!

cutest little chapel ever. the best part was that the reception site was RIGHT next door. everything in one place = so perfect.

mr + mrs!

heather + tim: congrats! thank you so much for bringing us to charleston to shoot your precious wedding (and for the amazing gift basket with charleston goodies we got in the mail)! we had so much fun. we’ll be visiting again soon!

you might remember scarlett + jason from their super cool engagement session. their wedding in st. simons was beautiful all around. from the details to the location, everything was thought out and cute as a button. even though it got up to around 80 degrees (in October!), we would venture to say that it was a perfect southern wedding. here’s some details.

when we arrived at the house to set up, there were people bustling around getting last minute details finished… and the food smelled delicious!!
i remember when scarlett emailed me a photo of her dress. i thought it was so unique and gorgeous, but it looked so much more amazing ON her!

the bridesmaid dresses were just plain awesome. and check out the scenery… dang!

when it was time for the guys to take photos, there was a HUGE storm rolling in. but the guys ventured out for us. we’re so glad they did because we got this shot:

and just in time for jason to walk down the aisle, the sun was shining again!

i love watching the guys’ faces as their brides walk down the aisle!

are you kidding with the spanish moss? i mean really, how awesome is this location?

for their exit, they ran through sparklers and then down to the dock where they caught a ride on a boat!

watch their whole wedding day story in slideshow form here.
scarlett + jason: thank you so much for having us at your wedding to capture the big day. we had a blast and can’t wait to hang out with you two again soon!
